Fatima and surroundings
We'll leave Lisbon heading to Fátima, where we'll visit the sanctuary, situated in the same place where in 1917 Our Lady appeared to three little shepherds, Francisco, Jacinta and sister Lucia.
This is a day dedicated to your faith, so take your time to visit the sanctuary, pray, light a candle or pay your vows. You'll have as much free time as you want, and no one will rush you. When you feel ready to leave we'll visit the houses of the three shepherds, in Aljustrel, a little village close to Fátima.
After the Fátima there are many options to complete your day:
- Visit the Gothic monastery of Batalha, king's pantheon
- Have lunch in Nazaré, a fisherman village, where women are know for wearing seven skirts
- The medieval village of Óbidos, with it's narrow and flower streets , where you can taste the "Ginginha", a cherry liquor
